Puerto Rico Relief
This initiative focuses on 25 points of action from which the case managers work directly identifying and addressing the diverse needs of the affected families. Local volunteers, volunteers from the United Methodist Church of the United States, and private contractors move between these points of action to take care of the needs of the families.
Hurricane María’s lessons have allowed us to develop a community action plan to create awareness among island residents on the need to properly prepare to face a natural disaster. We know that this work takes years. That is why we have set clear and achievable goals by the year 2020:
