ERT IN MANUNABO

The initiative of the Methodist Church of Puerto Rico has already begun more than a month ago in its plan for the #reconstruction and #rehabilitation of homes that have suffered damages due to Hurricane Maria. Today, we give coverage to a team of #ERT or #volunteers of the Cal - Nev Conference United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) that during this week will be in charge of carrying out the improvements of two houses in the town of Maunabo. We give thanks to God for these men and women who have come unselfishly to give us their help and to UMCOR - United Methodist Committee on Relief for their #donatives for the purchase of the materials that will be used in these improvements. Share and keep an eye on more of these stories!

HEALTH CLINIC IN VIEQUES

We share some images of the successful 1st Clara Huggins Health Clinic, held last weekend, in the town of Vieques. Our Methodist Church of Puerto Rico, under its ReHace IMPR program, made a link with Community Initiative to establish in the Retreat Center - Methodist Church Barrio La Esperanza in Vieques a clinic of attention of continuous way every month. On this occasion, several doctors, nurses and volunteers were able to assist different people who visited the center. In the same way, they mobilized the homes of people who found it difficult to transport themselves, all this with the help of one of the case managers of that town. Pastor Alex Gerena of this Methodist church, appreciates the initiative and reaffirms that this clinic will be a blessing to the people of Vieques, given that currently they do not have a health center.
